HEAD COACH Glenn Moore
Glenn Moore is in his fourth season as Baylor's head coach, coming to Waco after a stellar three-year stint at Louisiana State. In his first season at Baylor, Moore led the Lady Bears to a 38-22 overall record and a sixth-place, 7-9 mark in the Big 12 Conference. The following season, he guided the Lady Bears to even greater successes with more than 50 team and individual, single-game and single-season school records. Baylor finished 46-18 overall and 10-8 in the Big 12 Conference, establishing school marks for victories in a season, conference victories in a season and highest conference finish (fourth). Moore led Baylor to a third straight 30-win season in 2003, and the Lady Bears cracked the NFCA Top 25 for the third consecutive year. During the 2003 season, Moore claimed his 100th victory as Baylor's head coach with the Lady Bears 3-0 triumph against Texas Tech. He is now 115-69 (.625) in three seasons at Baylor. Moore has a career record of 254-111 (.696); he posted a 22-17 mark in his first year as a collegiate head coach at William Carey in Mississippi. Moore is 232-92 (.716) at the Division I level.

GETTERMAN CLASSIC FIELD
Baylor is 14-7 all-time against the five teams competing in this weekend's Getterman Classic. The Lady Bears are 9-2 against Northwestern State, 1-0 against Pacific and 4-5 against Wichita State. Baylor has never faced Auburn nor North Texas.

GETTERMAN CLASSIC HISTORY
This is the third rendition of the Getterman Classic, presented by Compass Bank and Hilton. The first two Getterman Classics were four-team, double round-robin events. In 2002, Baylor won the inaugural event, going 6-0 with wins over Northwestern State, Southern and Texas-Arlington. Northwestern State and UTA tied for second at 3-3, splitting their two games. Southern finished fourth, losing all six games. Last year, Baylor repeated as champion, again going 6-0. The Lady Bears defeated Centenary, Florida and Texas-Arlington. Florida (3-3) finished second, Texas-Arlington (2-4) finished third and Centenary (1-5) finished fourth. In 12 games at the Getterman Classic, Baylor has out-scored its opponents 96-9 with five shutouts and two run-rule games.

BAYLOR IN SEASON OPENERS
Baylor is 10-8 in season openers since 1979; however, the Lady Bears are 6-2 in such games since the reinstatement of the program in 1996, and they have won 10 of their last 14 season openers. Last season, Baylor won its fifth straight season opener, defeating Centenary 12-0 in six innings at the Getterman Classic. The last team to defeat the Lady Bears in a season opener was Illinois-Chicago; the Flames knocked off BU 2-0 Feb. 13, 1998 at the UTA College Classic in Arlington, Texas.

BAYLOR IN HOME OPENERS
This marks the third straight season but only the seventh time ever that Baylor has opened its season at home. The Lady Bears are 10-8 in home openers since 1979, including a 12-0 victory over Centenary last year. Baylor has won six of eight such contests since the reinstatement of the program in 1996.

BIG 12 COACHES TAB LADY BEARS SIXTH
Baylor was picked to finish sixth in the Big 12 Conference this season, according to the preseason coaches' poll. The Lady Bears garnered 44 total points in the poll, one point behind fifth-place Missouri. Oklahoma edged Nebraska for top billing in the preseason picks. The Sooners received six of 10 first-place nods and 78 total points. The Huskers collected each of the four remaining first-place votes and 75 total points. Texas A&M (62 points) and Texas (57) were picked third and fourth, respectively. Oklahoma State (34), Kansas (25), Iowa State (19) and Texas Tech (11) rounded out the poll in that order.

HOME, SWEET HOME
Since the beginning of the 2002 season, Baylor is 43-15 at Getterman Stadium. In three years under head coach Glenn Moore, Baylor is 58-21 (.734) at Getterman Stadium. Baylor posted a 25-6 record at home in 2002, establishing a school record for home wins in a season. The Lady Bears also enjoyed a school-record 24-game home winning streak that dated back to 2001 season. Last year, Baylor posted 18 victories at Getterman, second in the stadium's history. The Lady Bears are 72-34 (.679) all-time at the facility, which opened May 1, 1999.

GETTERMAN ATTENDANCE CONTINUES TO GROW
In 18 home dates, Getterman Stadium attracted 8,157 fans last season. Baylor ranked 13th nationally in total attendance for the second consecutive season. Getterman's average attendance of 453 fans established a school record, breaking the 2002 mark of 402, and ranked 18th nationally, a program best. Six of the 13 largest crowds in the stadium's five-year history came last season, including the two largest crowds - 979 vs. Texas (April 16) and 840 vs. Nebraska (April 5). Baylor has finished 21st or better in total attendance and 23rd or better in average attendance nationally each of the past three seasons.
