The All-Big 12 defender will join the staff upon completion of her professional season
WACO, Texas – Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore announced the addition of former Baylor standout Presleigh Pilon as the program's Director of Player Development on Friday morning.
Pilon, who is currently playing professionally with the KC Diamonds of the Professional Softball League, will officially join the Bears in August following the conclusion of her pro season.
"Presleigh has always represented everything we want Baylor softball to stand for," Moore said. "She was an outstanding player, a tremendous teammate and someone who made a lasting impact on our program. She understands our culture, she loves Baylor and she knows what it takes to succeed here. Having her return in this role is incredibly special because our student-athletes will benefit tremendously from her experience, leadership and passion for this program."
Pilon returns to Waco after one of the most decorated defensive careers in Baylor softball history. A three-year letterwinner from 2023-25, the Murrieta, California, native started all 171 games she appeared in during her career.
The 2025 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year also helped Baylor establish a then-school record with 31 double plays during the 2024 season, a mark later matched by the 2026 squad.
In 2025, Pilon set the program's single-season record with 152 assists. She finished fifth in school history with 403 career assists, while also sharing the Baylor single-game record with four runs scored.
Offensively, Pilon recorded 490 career at-bats, hitting .255 with 125 hits, 61 RBIs, 17 doubles and 30 stolen bases. A fixture at the top of the lineup and in the middle of the infield, she helped lead the Bears to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances during her career while helping BU reach the final game of the Gainesville Super Regional in 2024.
Following her collegiate career, Pilon has appeared in 13 games for the KC Diamonds, notching 14 hits in 28 at-bats with a double and a pair of triples to her name.
