
WT Opens Big 12 Tournament on Thursday Against No. 23 TCU

ORLANDO, Fla. – Baylor women's tennis will face No. 23 TCU in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament, with first serve set for 1 p.m. CT Thursday. The Bears earned the No. 6 seed in the draw announced Sunday and will compete at the USTA National Campus.
All matches from Orlando will stream live on ESPN+.
Baylor (13-8, 8-5) enters the tournament following a 4-1 loss to Texas Tech that closed the regular season Saturday afternoon. The Bears' lone point came from Alian Zack, who won her singles match 6-2, 6-4.
BU's roster features No. 72 Na Dong and No. 89 Zuzanna Kubacha in singles, while the pair also pairs together in doubles at No. 85.
TCU (17-4, 10-3) meets Baylor after a 4-0 win over Colorado to close the regular season. The Horned Frogs' lineup includes one ranked player, No. 81 Raquel Caballero Chica, in singles.
With a win, Baylor would advance to Friday's semifinal at 5 p.m. CT and move one step closer to the championship match scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday.
Thursday's match marks the second meeting between the teams this season. TCU won the first matchup 4-1 on March 28 during conference play, with Kubacha securing the Bears' point in straight sets.
