Kubacha, Zack and Erickson headed to Cary for first NCAA qualification opportunity
CARY, N.C. – Baylor women's tennis opens the 2026 fall season at the ITA Women's All-American Championships, running Sept. 19-27 at Cary Tennis Park.
Â
Returning Bears Zuzanna Kubacha and Alian Zack, along with LSU transfer Kenna Erickson, will compete in the tournament. All three are entered in singles and Kubacha and Erickson will also team up in doubles.
Â
Kubacha, a senior from Poland, earned All-Big 12 First Team singles honors last season after going 23-7 and entered the 2025-26 dual season ranked No. 57 in the ITA preseason poll. Zack, a junior from Israel, earned All-Big 12 First Team doubles honors alongside Na Dong, helping the pair secure 13 doubles points and a 10-2 record in Big 12 play. Erickson, a senior transfer from LSU, owns career highs of No. 107 in singles and No. 17 in doubles and a win over then-No. 14 Vanderbilt.
Â
Held annually since 1983, the ITA All-American Championships is a top qualifying event for the NCAA Championships. It runs in three stages: pre-qualifying (Sept. 19-20), qualifying (Sept. 21-22) and the main draw (Sept. 23-27). Ten singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship: the eight main draw quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists. Four doubles teams, the main draw semifinalists, will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
