Bear duo voted by league coaches to next NCAA Championship-qualifying event
WACO, Texas – Two Baylor women's tennis players were voted the Big 12's selections for the 2026 ITA Conference Masters by the league head coaches, as announced Saturday morning.
Zuzanna Kubacha earned the league's No. 1 singles selection, and Kubacha and Kenna Erickson were chosen as the Big 12's No. 1 doubles team.
The ITA Conference Masters Championships will be held Nov. 5-8 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga., giving players another opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
Each NCAA Division I conference eligible for an automatic qualifier designates one singles player and one doubles team per gender. The four singles semifinalists will advance to the NCAA Singles Championship, while the doubles champion and finalist will earn spots in the NCAA Doubles Championship.
Kubacha has posted a 6-2 singles record this fall, while she and Erickson are 4-2 together in doubles play. Kubacha competed in singles and doubles at both the ITA All-American Championships and the ITA Texas Regional Championship, and Erickson joined her in doubles at both events.
