• Coming off a nine game stretch against eight ranked teams, Baylor continues its five-game homestand with the Houston Cougars on Thursday night at 4:00 p.m. CT on ESPN+
• On the heels of one of its toughest regular-season stretches since 2011, Baylor's strength of schedule is up to No. 10 in the nation, which enters the week as the toughest schedule in the Big 12
• Baylor has won 10-straight in its series with the Cougars with Houston's last win over the Bears came in March of 2021
• The homestand wraps Baylor putting its 19-0 all-time record on the line against Lamar on Monday, April 6th
• Baylor enters Thursday chasing just two victories to reach 500 all-time victories at Getterman Stadium
• BU has a 499-198 mark all-time at Getterman Stadium and, having a winning record in all but one full season of competition since its doors were opened in 1999
• Last time out, Kaygen Marshall and Leah Cran belted a pair of two-run homeruns to erase a four-run deficit and beat UIW 11-9. It was Baylor's largest comeback since overcoming a four-run deficit against Hofstra in Feb. 2025
• With a 12-3 win over UCF on March 14th, Glenn Moore surpassed 1,100 career wins, the ninth-most among active D1 coaches and the sixth-most among active power-conference head coaches
• Moore is in his 30th season as a head coach, making him the fifth-longest tenured power-conference head coach

• Lexie Warncke has shown a great ability to miss bats ranking in the top-15 in the Big 12 in opponent batting average (.250)
• Senior Amber Toven is in the midst of her best collegiate season, leading the team in batting average (.374) and RBIs (29) while serving as the lynch-pin for 11 double plays this season
• Named to Softball's America's top-15 midseason shortstops, Toven enters this weekend working on a career-best 15-game on-base streak
• Toven and Brooklyn Carter have shared the leadoff spot for much of the season, Carter who is batting .352 with a .422 OBP, creating chaos on the bases with 12 stolen bases, which is fourth-most in the league
• Karynton Dawson possesses a true speed and power threat is tied for the team lead in extra-base hits with 14, including three homeruns and three triples, which is tied for the Big 12 lead
• Cran enters the weekend tied with Dawson with 14 extra-basehits on the strength of three homeruns in her last three games
• Freshmen Marshall leads the team with seven homeruns, the most by a Baylor Freshman since Kassidy Krupit hit 10 in 2019
• Olivia Buettner has worked herself into a lineup regular appearing in 26 games with 19 starts and ranks third on the team in on-base% (.450)
• Freshman Gianna Gusman has also contributed in her first season on campus appearing in 22 games with 20 starts, hitting .245, with come highlight-reel plays in the outfield.
• Toven (Arizona, 2022), Carter (Washington, 2023) and Tanner (Tennessee, 2025) all boast Women's College World Series experience at their former stops
• Picked eighth in the Preseason Big 12 Coaches Poll, Baylor has met or outperformed its preseason expectations in 17 of Moore's 25 previous seasons at Baylor
• The Bears have 17 matchups against teams featured in the ESPN/USA Softball Preseason Top 25 including dates with both of the Preseason No. 1 teams (Texas Tech and Texas)
• BU has remaining home dates with No. 15 Texas A&M (4/15) and No. 21 Oklahoma State (4/24-26), with road contests scheduled at No. 3 Texas (3/20) and at No. 2 Texas Tech (4/30-5/2)
