MANHATTAN, Kan. – Baylor men's basketball travels to the Little Apple to play against Kansas State on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

GAME NOTES
• Head coach Scott Drew will face off against his former assistant coach and current interim head coach for Kansas State, Matthew Driscoll.
• Kansas State announced on Sunday night that it was parting ways with coach Jerome Tang, who worked underneath Drew for 19 years before being hired at KSU.
• Driscoll and Tang's relationship with Baylor and Drew dates back more than 20 years, as the two coached alongside each other for six seasons (2003-09) at Baylor as original members of head coach Drew's staff. The pair were part of 81 wins at Baylor, helping Drew rebuild the Bears into their first NCAA Tournament bid in 20 years in 2007-08. Driscoll was named the fourth head coach in North Florida history on April 7, 2009. Baylor never played North Florida during his tenure.
• Drew is 3-6 all time when facing a former assistant as a head coach.
• The Wildcats have won the last two meetings at Bramlage Coliseum, with Baylor not earning a win in Manhattan since Feb. 9, 2022, 75-60.
• Baylor assistant coach Steve Henson returns to his alma mater where he was a four-year starting point guard for the Wildcats from 1986-90.
• Kenpom has the Bears holding the No. 1 toughest opponent defensive strength of schedule in the country.
• Additionally, BU's overall strength of schedule ranks as 6th in the nation and 3rd in the Big 12.
• BU's 3-8 conference start is the worst since 2013-14, where the Bears ended 9-9 and made it to the NCAA Sweet 16.
• Baylor is shooting 46.3-percent from the field and averaging 76.6 points in its last five games versus 40.1-percent field goals and an average of 66.8 points in its first five games of the conference season.
• Undefeated with halftime leads, Baylor has won 90-percent of its games (279-37) when leading at the half in the last 14 seasons and is 13-0 this season when taking the halftime advantage.
• The Bears are 94-5 (.949) over the last 10 seasons when hitting at least 50.0 percent from the field, sixth best in Division I (min. 20 games).
• BU went against two top-25 opponents last week, versus #22 BYU at home and #24 Louisville in a neutral-site game.
• Against the two, freshman Tounde Yessoufou averaged 26.5 ppg, including a career-best of 37 points against BYU.
• His 37 points were the most by any Baylor player against a ranked team in program history, which contributed to career highs in field goals (12), field goals attempted (19) and threes (5).
• It was the most points put up by a freshman since since LaceDarius Dunn (38) vs. Texas Tech (3/8/08).
• Yessoufou played all but four minutes across the two games and found five steals in the week. He is the only DI freshman this season to be averaging at least 15.0 points and 2.0 steals per game.
• Cameron Carr has reached double-figures in the first half in 18 of 25 games this season.
• Carr leads the Bears and is fifth in the Big 12 with 19.2 points per game.
• Carr was recognized on the Big 12 Starting Five for his performances against CU and ISU.
• Through two games, Carr played all but four minutes and was fifth in the league in scoring with 21.5 ppg.
