GAME NOTES
Glenn Moore on his team's strong start to the series: "That was fun. the girls responded really well to the challenge of showing up here at Getterman Stadium, with the chances of bad weather and some uncertainty. We played some good ball today on both sides of the ball so I'm really happy with the start. I'm proud of our pitching, and proud of what the girls did today."
On the continued ascension of his pitching staff: "They've been steadily getting better and they're at the prime of the season right now, to this point. I think there's room to improve, because there's a high ceiling with both of them [Creager and Tanner], but they're throwing their best ball of the season right now and that's what you want. Lexie Warncke coming in to close out game one was also really good to see, so I'm really happy with what we are doing in the circle."
WHAT'S NEXT
The series finale is slated for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Getterman Stadium, where the Bears are hosting a Disney-themed day at the park titled, "Once upon a Ballgame". With the threat of inclement weather, the postgame autograph session has been canceled.
The game will be televised on ESPN+ and heard on air and online via 101.3 COOL FM.
