
WG Ventures to Hawaii for Rainbow Wahine Invite

WACO, Texas – Baylor women's golf will play in the three-day 29th annual Rainbow Wahine Invitational, starting on Monday at the Ocean Course at Hokuala in Līhu'e, Kaua'I, Hawaii, hosted by the University of Hawaii.
Baylor will join 19 teams participating in the three-day event, including Hawai'i, Boise State, BYU, Eastern Michigan, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Long Beach State, Missouri, Nevada, Osaka Gakuin (Japan), Sacramento State, San Diego, State, Santa Clara, Tulane, Washington State, Wyoming.
The Ocean Course at Hokuala is a par-72 that measures at 6,039 yards. The event will start at 2:30 p.m. CT on Monday and Tuesday and 2 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
The Bears are ranked No. 15 in the first poll of the 2025-26 season and have competed in three tournaments to open the year, including a second-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, a fifth-place showing at the Mason Rudolph Championship and a fourth-place finish at the Prairie Dunes Invitational.
Malena Castro leads the team with a 72.5 round average, owning top-25 finishes in each tournament of the year. Silje Ohma has fired a 72.83 average with a top-10 finish in her two events. Yurang Li, a junior transfer from Illinois, averages 73.38 per round, while freshman Amelia Wan has a 74-stroke average through three events. Bridget Boczar has averaged 74.63 per round in three tournaments.
The bears will lineup with Ohma, Castro, Li, Wan and Boczar, and will have Mallory Matthews, Charlotte Brook and Obi Chan competing as individuals.
