HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE
Baylor started off the match and the set on a three-point run, thanks to a kill from Pressley and Harrison and an Iowa State error. The Bears went up 6-2, then Iowa State went on a run of their own to make it 7-6. BU made it 9-6 with a Parise and Skinner block. Back-to-back service hours changed the score to 11-9. It was 12-12 on a ball handling error, then Harrison made it 14-14. Staying in close range, Skinner upped the Bears' lead to 20-17, where Iowa State called timeout. She'd serve five times in a row overall, with an ace in the middle. The end of her run was at 23-18, but Harrison came right back with a kill. Pressley had an emphatic kill at 8-7, then the bears went up to 11-8 off two Harrison kills. Iowa State called for a pause and came back in with a kill. Harrison, Sedwick and Skinner went on a run of three for the Bears, with Skinner's kill being successfully challenged by Ryan McGuyre to get the point at 15-9. A kill by Pressley extended the lead to 18-12, with ISU calling timeout. Harrison again went on a rampage, recording three more kills in the rest of the set. Hannah Sedwick was the one to end the frame with a kill at 25-18.
SET THREE
