Baylor recorded its sixth-straight one-run win with a 2-1 victory over No. 8 Florida State Friday morning at Bogle Park. The Lady Bears are now 8-0 in one-run games this season and have four wins over ranked opponents.
ย

ย
Two innings later, a leadoff walk would turn into a run for the Lady Bears as Alyssa Avalos drew a walk and then scored off Pritchett's second double of the day. Both Baylor runs came with two outs on the board.
ย
In the field, Campbell Selman made her first career start and was kept busy over at second base. She finished with a team-high eight assists. Baylor turned its seventh double play of the season in the top of the first when Emily Hott fielded a grounder at shortstop, threw to Selman at second who turned and fired the ball to Goose McGlaun at first. In total, Florida State stranded seven runners on the morning.
ย
Pritchett went the distance for the Lady Bears in the circle as she gave up one unearned run off five hits with seven strikeouts. She is responsible for both Baylor wins to start the Wooo Pig Classic and is 6-0 on the season.
ย

Glenn Moore on the dayโฆ
"A "sweet-bitter" day two of the Wooo Pig Classic. I'm certainly pleased with two wins against Top 25 teams.ย We've played extremely consistent for a long time but broke down against Villanova. Although we made a run late in the game, we had dug a hole too deep to climb out of."
