WACO, Texas - No. 18 Baylor softball (32-10) takes a midweek trip to face the Houston Cougars (18-21), squaring off in a doubleheader starting at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon in Houston.

Tuesday's games will be the 28th and 29th time the two squads have faced off, with Baylor carrying the all-time series advantage, 17-10. The Cougars do hold the edge in Houston, 7-6.

Baylor swept the 2015 doubleheader with the Cougars, a first between the clubs since 2009, when the Lady Bears took both games in Houston.

Sarah Beth Toben picked up both wins in relief, aided by 28 hits over the two games by the Baylor bats.

Jordan Strickland and Shelby Friudenberg each had two RBI in game one, with Linsey Hays leading the way with two in game two.

Heather Stearns started the first and Kendall Potts took the second, but both were replaced after early struggles, relying on the bullpen to pick up both victories.

For Houston, the Cougars return home after playing eight of its last nine games on the road, six of which were against ranked opponents.

UH took one out of a three game series from No. 23 South Florida in Tampa, but was most recently swept by No. 17 Arizona.

For Baylor, the Lady Bears will look to bounce back from a three-game sweep by Oklahoma in Waco, preparing for another weekend of Big 12 play, travelling to face Oklahoma State in Stillwater beginning Friday.

The Tuesday contests, and all road games this season, will be broadcast live with audio on BaylorBears.com/allaccess. David Kaye will provide play-by-play commentary.
