THE RUNDOWN
LOS CABOS, Mexico - The No. 6-ranked Baylor men's golf team shot 4-over-par 288 in Tuesday's final round of the Querencia Cabo Collegiate, moving the Bears up one spot into a tie for seventh place.
The Bears finished at 14-over 866, tied with LSU and two strokes behind sixth place Houston (+12). Stanford (+2) finished in fifth place, while Washington (-2) took fourth, South Florida (-4) placed third, Vanderbilt (-5) took second place and Florida State (-13) won the tournament.
Kyle Jones shot 4-under 67 in the final round to move up four spots to finish in third place individually. Andreas Gjesteby finished tied for 17th place at 1-over 214 after a final round of 1-under 70. Both Jones and Gjesteby have earned top-25 finishes in all eight tournaments this year, with Jones placing in the top 15 of every event.
Frederik Andersen finished in a tie for 42nd place at 8-over par after posting a final round 3-over 74. Filippo Zucchetti tied for 54th place at 12-over 225, and Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen tied for 69th place at 27-over par.
HIGHLIGHTS
? Jones posted his fifth top-3 finish of the season, including all three spring tournaments.
? Baylor placed first in par-3 scoring average at 3.02 for the tournament.
? Baylor finished fourth in the number of birdies made for the tournament, including 17 in the final round to give BU 51 birdies over the 54-hole event.
? Gjesteby finished first in par-3 scoring with an average of 2.75, while Jones finished first in par-4 scoring with an average of 3.76 for the tournament.
? Gjesteby made the fifth-most birdies in the field with 14 birdies in 54 holes.

3 - The number of birdies made by the 70-player field on hole No. 1 in the final round, two of which were recorded by Baylor's Jones and Andersen.
