TOP QUOTES
"The guys played beautifully Saturday," head coach Mike McGraw said. "I don't know if I have seen any rounds better than that in nine years at Olympia Fields, so I was really proud of that round Saturday. We opened the tournament okay, nothing special. We played 13 holes in the rain on Friday, so I thought we were in decent shape. Saturday's round was extraordinary. That gave them a little confidence after putting together a round like that. They really just didn't play well today, but it happens."
"Kyle Jones had another great week, tying for fourth. I really don't think he is hitting on all cylinders right now. He is playing well, but he has got a little bit more in the tank. He was third last week and fourth this week, and this week's field was a lot better than last week's. This finish was against some of the best players in the country. While he is not completely satisfied because he knows he left some strokes out there, he also knows it was a good finish."
"These five guys that played in these first two tournaments obviously know a lot more about their games now. Olympia Fields tests every part of your game. It tests everything you do in golf, so all those guys were pushed to their limits this week. They also had some weaknesses exposed, and the good news is they get to go out and work on those things, refine those things and hopefully fine tune those things to come out and compete at Duke in almost a month."
