THE RUNDOWN
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Baylor men's golf team shot even-par 288 in Monday's second round of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, placing the Bears in a tie for eighth place heading to Tuesday's final round at Lake Nona Golf Club.
The Bears trail tournament leader Vanderbilt (-26) by 21 strokes. Baylor remains five strokes out of the top five, which includes Florida State (-24), Texas Tech (-22), Illinois (-11) and North Florida (-10).
Two Baylor players finished the day among the top 20 individuals. Senior Kyle Jones shot 1-under 71 in the second round to move up seven spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 20th place. Junior Andreas Gjesteby joined Jones in a tie for 20th place after posting a second round of 1-over 73.
Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen and Filippo Zucchetti both finished the day in a tie for 34th place at 1-over par after shooting second round scores of 2-over 74 and 1-under 71, respectively. Frederik Andersen shot 1-over 73 to move up three spots into a tie for 50th place.
HIGHLIGHTS
? Zucchetti eagled hole No. 9, accounting for one of two eagles made on the hole in the second round.
? Baylor continues to lead the field in par-3 scoring average at 3.00 for the tournament.
? Jones has the second-most pars made with 29 pars through 36 holes of play.
? Gjesteby and Bjerch-Andresen are in fifth place in par-5 scoring average at 4.50.
? The Bears are 6-under as a team on hole No. 9 through two rounds.

Tee times for Tuesday's final round begin for the Bears at 7 a.m. CT. Baylor is paired with GRU- Augusta and New Mexico. BU will tee off on hole No. 1 with Andersen up first, followed by Zucchetti, Bjerch-Andresen, Gjesteby and Jones in 10-minute intervals, respectively.
