Baylor will open the Big 12 Championship as the No. 8 seed, taking on No. 9 Iowa State on Friday beginning at 5:00 p.m. This will mark the final Big 12 Championship, as the tournament will be disbanded after this season.

SCOUTING IOWA STATE
ISU split last weekend's Big 12 series with Kansas, dropping the first game for its seventh-straight loss but rebounding for a 4-3 win in the second meeting. Heidi Kidwell leads the Cyclones with a .333 average and 11 stolen bases, while Courtney Wray is hitting .297 while leading the squad with 10 doubles and three triples. Rachel Zabriskie is the staff's ace, going 20-17 with a 2.74 ERA and 255 strikeouts in 227.2 innings.

SERIES
Baylor swept ISU with a comeback, walk-off win in game one (9-7) and a 4-1 victory in game two back on April 24-25. The Lady Bears lead the all-time series 17-10, however the last time the two teams met in OKC was 2008 when the Cyclones were the No. 9 seed and Baylor was the No. 8 seed. ISU defeated BU 6-4 in 10 innings.

BU AT THE BIG 12
Baylor is 10-21 all-time at the Big 12 Championship after having dropped seven of its last eight games in the tournament. The Lady Bears won its first game in six tries last season with a 5-4 win over Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.

RPI UPDATE
Heading in to the last two games, Baylor sits at No. 62 in the NCAA RPI rankings, while Iowa State is ranked 64th.

POSTSEASON AWARDS
Nicole Wesley and Tiffany Wesley earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI honors, as the twin sisters were each named to the first team for the second time in their careers.

WALKER WARMING €ˆUP
Kayce Walker has found her swagger , batting .438 (28-for-64) over the last 22 games. In addition, the leadoff hitter has 10 stolen bases and seven RBI during the stretch.

REPKA'S RUBBER ARM
Since Canion's injury, Courtney Repka has virtually been the lone arm in the circle for BU. The freshman is currently tied for third place on the list for games started in the season with 40, sitting one back of Joni Miller in second. Repka is also fifth in innings pitched with Lisa Ferguson with 236.2.

THIEVES
Baylor ranks sixth in the country with 116 bases this season, and also seventh in the country with a 2.27 stolen bases per game average.
