Baylor (26-20, 6-9) stranded seven runners in the first four innings before a six-run fourth led No. 20 Texas A&M (37-13, 8-6) to an 11-1 win in six innings Wednesday night at the Aggie Softball Complex. With the loss, the Lady Bears and Aggies split the season series at 1-1.

Kayce Walker went 2-for-2, while Dani Leal hit her team-leading eighth home run of the season. Baylor collected just three hits on the evening, while A&M had 11.

Kayce Walker led off the game with a single, and with one out, Jordan Vannatta was hit by a pitch. A wild pitch put runners at second and third with one out, but the Lady Bears were unable to capitalize, keeping the game scoreless.

Leal got Baylor on the board in the top of the second with her team-leading eighth home run of the season, giving the Lady Bears a 1-0 lead.

The Aggies took the lead in the bottom of the second, as Macie Morrow delivered an RBI-single to center, scoring Alex Reynolds from second. The next batter, Kelsea Spittler hit a floater to right center that rolled away from a diving Nicole Wesley, allowing Morrow to score from first.

Texas A&M busted it open in the fourth, as Morrow delivered her first home run of the year, a three-run blast to right center for a 5-1 lead. With two outs, Dani Leal dropped a pop fly in the infield that allowed Schwirtlich to score from second, and a throwing error during the play allowed Sydney Shannon to reach third. Megan May then delivered a two-run blast to left center to make it 8-1.

The Aggies ended it with two outs in the sixth, as Kelsey Spittler hit a three-run homer down the right field line to make it 11-1.

Courtney Repka (18-14) took the loss, going 3.2 innings, allowing six hits, eight runs, five earned, walking two and striking out two.

Baylor will remain on the road for a weekend series at No. 10 Missouri starting with a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday, May 1.
