The Baylor softball team (24-17, 4-6) begins a four-game conference homestand, taking on No. 13 Oklahoma in a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.
SCOUTING OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma enters the day after a home split with Texas Tech last Thursday, April 15. The Sooners are 2-2 on the road in conference play and are led by All-American Amber Flores' .393 average with 11 home runs and 28 RBI. Jessical Shults also adds some pop with 12 home runs and 50 RBI. Freshman Kellani Ricketts is the ace, going 20-8 with a 1.53 ERA and 224 strikeouts in 169.2 innings.
SERIES
Oklahoma leads the all-time series 32-7 and 9-3 in Waco. The two teams split a doubleheader last season, and the last time they faced off in Waco, game two went 12 innings with OU winning 9-4.
WALKER WARMING €ˆUP
Sophomore Kayce Walker has found her swagger in conference play, batting .414 (12-for-29) with a double and six stolen bases.
HOME RUN... FINALLY
Home runs had been hard to come by for Baylor until Jordan Vannatta hit a towering, two-run blast in the fifth inning at Nebraska on April 18. It was the first homer since March 28 at Oklahoma State (87.1 innings).
PINCH HIT HOME RUN RARITY
Jordan Vannatta blasted a pinch hit home run at Nebraska on April 18, making it the first time it had happened since Amber Daniel did so on Feb 1, 2003 against Florida.

Baylor is 2-7 against ranked opponents this season.

Baylor ranks first in the country with 110 bases this season, and entered the week ranked first in the country with a 2.68 stolen bases per game average.
