WACO, Texas - The Baylor softball team (11-6) scored 24 runs on 29 hits en route to a pair of shutouts, defeating Prairie View A&M 10-0 (5) in game one and 14-0 (5) in game two.
"We came out and took care of business," head coach Glenn Moore said. "We had an opportunity to put some players in different spots and let some kids have a little more playing time. Now we have to get ready to head on the road again to face a very good New Mexico team."
Tiffany Wesley, Sydney Wilson and Nicole Wesley each registered four hits on the day, while Jordan Vannatta drove in five runs. Kayce Walker extended her hit streak to 12 games, while T. Wesley is now on a nine-game hitting streak.
Game One
No. 25 BU 10, PVAM 0 (5)
Tiffany Wesley had three RBI, while Sydney Wilson and Bree Hanafin notched a pair each, as Baylor beat Prairie View A&M 10-0 (5) in game one.

T. Wesley added an RBI-groundout to second that scored N. Wesley, and Wilson scored on a throwing error in the second inning to post two more runs for a 4-0 lead. The Lady Bears busted it wide open in the third, totaling six runs on six hits. Vannatta led off with her first career triple and scored on a wild pitch, and two batters later, Hanafin knocked in an RBI on her fourth double of the year. Wilson added a pair of RBI with a double, and a single by T. Wesley scored two more runs for a 10-0 lead.

Game Two
No. 25 BU 14, PVAM 0 (5)
Jordan Vannatta recorded a career high five RBI, four of which came in Baylor's 11-run first inning, as the Lady Bears routed the Panthers, 14-0 (5) in game two. Baylor's 10 stolen bases during the game came one short of tying the school record of 11 set on Feb. 6, 2004 against Wichita State.
Baylor put the game away in the first inning, scoring 11 runs on 10 hits and stealing eight bases. Following singles from T. Wesley and Walker, Vannatta roped an RBI-single for a 2-0 lead. Leal singled to score Vannatta, and later scored on an errant throw after a passed ball. Kelsi Kettler added an RBI on a sac fly, while Turk registered one of her own on a single. Vannatta notched two more RBI with another single, while Leal and Wilson each drove in runs for the 11-run lead. The Lady Bears added three more for good measure in the second, with Kayce Walker notching an RBI and Vannatta picking up a sac fly, while Turk scored on a passed ball.
