What have you done in order to prepare for this years season?
Well, I spent most of my time rehabbing my arm from my car accident last year. So I have been lifting lots of weights and getting my arm back in shape.
Who is your favorite team to play against?
I think I would have to say A&M for sure just for a lot of personal reasons. Growing up my dad went to A&M, and so therefore I was going to A&M. Also most of the team I played against in high school, and so it will be neat to go and play against them.
What is the team's greatest challenge this year?
We are young, but we are hard working. We lost a ton of power in our lineup from last year, but our short game and our speed are better than it has ever been. And so I think just to know that and work around it is what we will have to do. We will just have to start putting our hits together, we call it passing the bat.
What are your personal goals for this season?
My biggest goal is to not settle for anything less than what we got last year. I also just want to be able to make the All-Big 12 Tournament team.
If you were asked to give some advice to an incoming athlete what would it be?
The biggest piece of advice I could give is to keep working hard because it is your hard work that has gotten you here, but to become selfless. When you become a member of a top caliber program like this one every single person on the team was a star, and so it is a hard transitio. But it is one that needs to be made for the teams success.
