BAYLOR HEAD COACH Glenn Moore

On the game...

"Wow. What a great regional. I expected nothing less from Michigan than to be right back in it after yesterday. After yesterday, I think we made them mad. I couldn't be more proud of the girls on this team."

On setting the tone...

"The first inning was important for us to bring our team and crowd back into it. The second inning was the most important. It let them know that we were there and mean business. Putting those two runs up in the second was a big mountain for us to overcome."

On winning the regional...

"It was exciting. It still needs to sink in. I'm enjoying the moment and trying to stay in it for a while. It is fun for the kids. We've seen this day coming for a long time."

On the College World Series...

"They know their potential and expect big things out of themselves. We are going to go up there and expect to win the whole thing."

LISA FERGUSON, BAYLOR RHP

After the first game...

"We were down. We refocused for the next game. We've had our mistake and we learned from them. Hopefully, that will be the last mistake for the year."

On the second game....

"We exploded in the first and second inning. That was enough to keep them shut-down and still fight; but, it definitely told the message early that we wanted it."

KIRSTEN SHORTRIDE, BAYLOR OF/P

On her home run...

"I was looking to pick Ashley up. She was doing her job at lead-off. It was important. We didn't do it right the first game and we needed it to happen for the second."

On the win...

"Our coaching staff did a great job. They deserve this completely. It's all I have hoped and dreamed for. Absolutely amazing."

Alex Colyer, BAYLOR 2B

On the first game:

"We didn't come out playing Baylor ball. We had one loss to play with; but, we had to win in the second."

MICHIGAN HEAD COACH CAROL HUTCHINS

"You have to congratulate Baylor and realize that they're such a fine softball team all around. They're balanced, they're fast and they hit the heck out of the ball. For us to come and play in this environment, clearly, there is a home field advantage, and that's credit to the Baylor fans. I congratulate them and wish them the best of luck.

"I thought my team came out today. We turned it around we played much better softball. I was very proud of my group and their efforts. I was very proud of my freshman, Nikki, in particular. She came out and had the heart of a champion. She gave it all she had. It's a tough match-up. Baylor is just that tough. I thought we gave it a great effort, but I think the best team won."

NIKKI NEMITZ, MICHIGAN LHP

On differences between games:

"I don't know if there is a difference. I think Baylor was well prepared with what I threw. They came out swinging aggressive, and hats off to them for that."

On her first game:

"It was a great confidence booster. Super regional, as a freshman, I couldn't dream of a better spot to be in. it was a great confidence boost, but I'm always looking for more, and won't settle for that second game.

ROYA ST. CLAIR, MICHIGAN DP

"We hit the ball hard. We started chasing pitches in the second game against Ferguson. But, when we didn't chase those pitches and hit the ball solid and got hits. Unfortunately, we were unable to string a collection of hits together to get any runs in that second game."
