In addition, Reagan set a new school record with 12 total bases as the single-game mark ranks 11th all-time in NCAA history.
Reagan got the scoring started in the contest as she lifted a solo home run over the left-center field wall to give Baylor a 1-0 lead.
Texas Tech responded; however, in the bottom of the inning as the first seven batters to the plate all scored in the inning to give the Red Raiders a 7-1 lead. The scoring outburst was capped when Natalie Kula delivered a grand slam over the right field wall for a six-run advantage.
Baylor would respond by scoring the next seven runs to regain the lead. Courtney Oberg delivered a single to center field in the third to score Ashley Monceaux from second while Alex Colyer scored from first on the play as the ball went through the legs of center fielder Ashley Parker to make the score 7-3.
The Lady Bears would regain the lead with a five-run outburst in the fourth. Nicole Wesley got things started with a RBI single to right as Reagan followed with her sixth home run of the year, this one a towering, two-run shot to right, to cut the lead to one run.
Monceaux finally put the Lady Bears out in front as she drilled a home run to right field, her 12th of the season, scoring Danielle Honnette to give Baylor a brief, 8-7 advantage.
The Red Raiders quickly grabbed the lead right back as Montana Patin's two-run single gave Texas Tech a 9-8 advantage; however, Baylor would take control and score the last six runs of the game to pick up its season-high tenth straight win.
The Lady Bears grabbed the lead for good in the fifth as Reagan hit a towering fly ball to left that got caught in the wind and fell to the ground harmlessly, allowing T. Wesley and N. Wesley to score to give Baylor a one-run advantage and Reagan her third extra-base hit of the game.
After Courtney Oberg extended the lead with her fifth home run of the season in the sixth, Baylor would explode for three runs in the seventh to put the game away. Chelsi Lake delivered a sacrifice fly in the inning while Monceaux and Oberg each recorded RBI hits as Baylor took a 14-9 lead into the final half-inning.
The lead was more than enough for Kirsten Shortridge, who relieved starter Lisa Ferguson in the fourth and tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless relief, allowing only two hits, as she improved to 12-3 on the season with the victory.
Sarah Losleben took the loss for Texas Tech and fell to 4-8 on the year after allowing six runs on six hits in three innings of work.
A number of Lady Bears had outstanding days at the plate as Monceaux and Oberg each recorded three hits and three RBI in the victory.
Baylor and Texas Tech were originally scheduled to play in a doubleheader on Friday; but, due to the poor playing conditions, the teams will conclude the series with a single game scheduled for Saturday, April 7, at 1:00 p.m.
