The No. 8 Baylor men's golf team returns to action after a week off at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday, April 3-4 hosted by Texas at the 6,906-yard, par-72 Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas. The Bears will be looking to tie the school record with their fifth victory of the season and their fourth in the last five tournaments.
Senior Ryan Baca is ranked fifth nationally by Golfweek and leads the team with a 69.96 stroke average, which would shatter the school record. He has posted three victories this season, earned back-to-back Big 12 Golfer of the Month awards (November and February) and has been selected as one of 10 semifinalist for The Ben Hogan Award, collegiate golf's top honor.
Junior Jeremy Alcorn is second on the team with a 71.83 stroke average and has two victories this season, while junior Jeremy Frye has recorded a career-high four top-10 finishes. Sophomore Wes Williams has started every touranment this season and has a pair of top-10 finishes, while junior Colton Turnquist will be making his second straight start.
The Bears have only one tournament remaining before the Big 12 Championships as they compete at the Aggie Invitational April 15-16 at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. The Big 12 Championships follow April 24-25 at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
