Biography

Maritza Martinez joins the Baylor coaching staff as a student asistant in 2009 following her two-year career as a Lady Bear.

Martinez was a two-year starter for Baylor and helped lead the Lady Bears to their first Women[apos]s College World Series in 2007. The former shortstop was well known for her strong arm, crafty glove and passion for the game during her playing time at Baylor.

Martinez is finishing her degree in speech communications and will graduate in May.
