Bears receive 11th-consecutive achievement with 3.46 cumulative GPA in 2025-26
WACO, Texas – For the 11th-consecutive season, Baylor baseball has earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack and announced Wednesday by the organization.
The award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.
In the 2025-26 season, Baylor baseball posted a 3.46 cumulative GPA as team, which included a 3.48 fall GPA, the second-highest term GPA in program history, and a 3.34 mark in the spring. The Bears had 27 Academic Champions in the Spring 2026 semester, rewarding student-athletes who logged a 3.50 GPA or above, a personal-best GPA, or graduated.
Baylor is one of 132 Division I programs to be recognized this season by the ABCA and one of nine Big 12 programs to receive the award, alongside Arizona, BYU, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Utah and West Virginia.
