
WT Closes Home Slate with BYU and Utah

Bears host BYU on Thursday before Utah on Saturday in final home matches of 2026
WACO, Texas – No. 38 Baylor Women's Tennis will close the week with a pair of home matches, hosting No. 32 BYU on Thursday, April 2, at noon CT and No. 30 Utah on Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m. for Senior Night. Both matches are scheduled to be played at the Hurd Tennis Center.
Live scoring will be available on BaylorBears.com with court cameras provided by Playsight. The match will also be featured in Cracked Racquet's Big 12 CrossCourt Cast on ESPN+.
Baylor (11-6) enters the weekend at 6-3 in Big 12 play and 6-4 at home. The Bears return to action after a 4-1 victory over No. 39 San Diego where Zuzanna Kubacha led the Bears with a perfect 6-0 result in doubles with Gabrielle Villegas before dominating to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles.
Na Dong remains undefeated in her last 14 matches, with 10 wins and four unfinished results. She continues to lead the Bears as their highest-ranked singles player at No. 48 nationally, followed by Kubacha at No. 120.
BYU (17-4) arrives in Waco on a six-match win streak and holds a 6-3 conference record. The Cougars feature a nationally ranked doubles pair in Grace Levelston and Kendall Kovick, who are No. 59.
Utah (14-5) enters the weekend on an eight-match win streak with a 7-2 record in conference play. The Utes are anchored by the No. 69 doubles team of Emma Valletta and Sara Akid.
A Cub Tennis Clinic will take place one hour before first serve on Saturday at noon CT. The Baylor Cub Tennis program is offered to children ages 3 to 11 to learn basic tennis skills from Baylor players and staff. All tennis equipment will be provided, but athletic clothing including tennis shoes are required.
