WACO, Texas – No. 36 Baylor women's tennis continues Big 12 play this weekend with a two-match road swing, opening at No. 62 Kansas State at 4 p.m. Friday in Manhattan, Kan., before traveling to Stillwater, Okla., to face No. 26 Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Kansas State enters the weekend with a 5-6 overall record and a 2-3 mark in Big 12 play. The Wildcats have earned conference wins over Colorado and Cincinnati, while Maralgoo Chogsomjav and Martaa Chogsomjav lead the team with seven singles victories each, including two in Big 12 play. The duo is ranked No. 54 in doubles.
Following Friday's match, Baylor will face Oklahoma State (7-5, 4-1 Big 12) in Stillwater. The Cowgirls' conference wins have come against West Virginia, Cincinnati, Texas Tech and Kansas State, with Olivia Lancer posting an OSU-best 8-2 record at the No. 1 singles position.
Oklahoma State features three ranked singles players in Rose Marie Nijkamp (No. 27), Lancer (No. 74) and Lucia Peyre (No. 76). In doubles, Anastasiya Komar and Nijkamp are ranked No. 12.
Baylor enters the weekend riding a four-match Big 12 winning streak after a 4-1 victory over Kansas last Sunday. The Bears are led in singles by Na Dong, ranked No. 37, and Zuzanna Kubacha, who is No. 117. The duo also teams up for a No. 70 doubles ranking.
