Littlepage-Buggs back on power forward top 10 list
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Baylor women's basketball senior Darianna Littlepage-Buggs has been named a midseason top‑10 candidate for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Thursday.
One season removed from being named one of five finalists for the Power Forward of the Year award, Littlepage-Buggs has continued her prowess through the Big 12. She remains the league's only player averaging a double-double, currently at 10.9 points and 10.8 rebounds through 24 games in the 2025-26 campaign.
Littlepage-Buggs' 11 double-doubles rank first in the Big 12 and are tied for 14th nationally, with Iowa State's Audi Crooks behind her with 10 and followed by a trio with seven.
The Oklahoma City native tied her career high in rebounds with 20 at No. 10 Iowa State and matched her career best in three-pointers made with two against UCF and at No. 22 West Virginia. She also tied her career high with five steals in a home game against UTSA.
The final five selections for the 2026 Katrina McClain Award will be announced in March, but fan voting for the mid-season list opens Feb. 6 at hoophallawards.com. The fan vote counts as one vote in the final selection process.
The Bears continue their Big 12 slate at home with a pair of nationally-broadcast contests, beginning with Arizona State on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT on FS1. Tickets are still available through the Baylor athletics ticket office.
Baylor women's basketball is presented by Central National Bank, a family-owned, independent bank headquartered in Waco, Texas, that provides uniquely personal service while simultaneously embracing the latest developments in banking technology.
