LEADING OFF
โข Baylor Baseball caps off its road swing on Tuesday night at UT Arlington ahead of a Thursday-Friday-Saturday home series with Utah this weekend at Baylor Ballpark in Waco.
โข Prior to dropping five of its last seven ballgames, the Bears reached the 20-win mark for the 53rd-consecutive complete season and the fastest since 2019, when the Bears started the year 20-6 and collected win No. 20 on March 30 at Kansas.
โข Baylor has won eight games this season in come-from-behind fashion, including a walk-off over HCU two weeks ago on Travis Sanders' solo home run in the bottom of the ninth.
โข Over the last 10 games, Sanders (.421, 16-for-38) and Tyriq Kemp (.450, 18-for-40) are red hot at the plate, pacing the Bears with a combined 10 extra-base hits.
โข Baylor is 14-2 this season when allowing two walks or less.
โข BU is 15-2 when striking out nine or more batters.
