
No. 14 WT Opens Up Conference Play at Home Against Cincinnati, West Virginia

Bears meet with the Bearcats on Friday at noon and the Mountaineers on Saturday at 3 p.m.
WACO, Texas – No. 14 Baylor women's tennis team is prepped to host Cincinnati on Friday at noon and West Virginia on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center to open up Big 12 Conference play.
Baylor (9-1) is coming off their third sweep of the season, the second 7-0 sweep, against Washington State. Cincinnati (6-1) has won their last five matches, including a 6-1 win against Miami (OH). West Virginia (6-5) lost its last match, 5-2, against Marshall, and the Mountaineers look to go head-to-head with No. 41 TCU on Friday before they head down I-35 to Waco.
The Bears currently lead all-time against the Bearcats, 1-0, with their only match coming last season. In the inaugural match, the green and gold picked up a 5-2 victory in Cincy to kick off the league slate.
BU also leads all-time against West Virginia, 12-0, with the Bears picking up a 4-0 dub last March. Kubacha earned a dominant, 6-0, 6-1, victory on Court Four and on Court Two, Liubov Kostenko took a, 6-3, 6-4, win to clinch the win for BU.
Baylor has one ranked singles player in freshman No. 80 Na Dong, while the duo of Kostenko and Cristina Tiglea hold the No. 7 ranking.
Both Cincinnati and West Virginia have no ranked individual competitors as of the last computerized rankings.
