
MG Signs Three for 2026-27

WACO, Texas -- A trio of talented student-athletes, including Tripp Anderson, Chase Yenser and Cooper Watson have signed to join Baylor men's golf for the 2026-27 season, it was announced by Coach Mike McGraw.
The Bears are welcoming three incoming freshmen into the fold for the 2026-27 season.
"We are happy with this class," Baylor men's golf coach Mike McGraw said. "All three players emerged in mid to late Summer and all three have been playing really well in recent months. They will all be tremendous additions to our program and we're excited to welcome them into the Baylor Family."
Anderson, a native of Mustang, Okla., joins the Bears after a decorated junior career in Oklahoma. He boasts three tournament titles over the fall season, including a first-place finish at the LT Shootout at The Lake, where he shot a 7-under. He also won the Lincoln Park Best of the West Fall Classic in October, firing an 11-under to win the title, including a 62 in the first round. Anderson also won the Lake Hefner North Fall Championship in September in Oklahoma City, firing a 12-under.
A product of Douglassville, Penn., Yenser is rated as the top-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania and as one of the top 75 recruits in the nation. He has had a decorated junior career that includes a strong summer and fall in 2025. Yenser won the Junior PGA Qualifier in July with a round of 68 and went onto a top-20 finish in the Junior PGA National event where he opened with 64 and was leading the event. He also won the Pennsylvania Junior Championship with a 7-under that featured a 65 and a 70. He also won the Notah Begay Local Qualifier in May. In the Fall, he earned 1st place in the Country Championship with rounds of 69-35 (-4), first place in the District Championships with rounds of 69-68 (-9) and a fourth-place finish in the State High School Championships with rounds of 69-73 (-2). Yenser finished the season with a sub-70 stroke average over all tournaments played.
Watson, a native of Lawton, Okla., joins the Bears after prepping at Macarthur High School for Coach Michael Pooschke. Watson has had a great summer and fall in 2025 that included an eight-place finish at the OJGT/TJGT Red River Team Challenge at Dornick Hills Country Club in late October. He also placed 14th at the OJGT Lake Hefner Fall Championship and 34th at the Oklahoma Open in August, featuring a 67 in the opening round. Watson finished third at the AJGA Junior Open at The Bridges in July, 38th in the Oklahoma State Amateur, sixth in the State Amateur Qualifier and second in the Lawton FireCracker that saw him shoot a 64 in the opening round. Also in the summer of 2025, Watson earned a 10th place finish in the OJGT Lincoln Park Junior, a second-place finish in the OJGT Oak Tree Junior Classic, a fourth-place finish in the OGA Stroke Play Championship and a sixth-place finish in the NB111 Regional.
