Bears in search of first win of the season on Halloween
WACO, Texas โย No. 10 Baylor equestrian (0-3, 0-1 Big 12) opens its home slate against No. 6 Fresno State (2-0, 1-0 Big 12) this Friday at 11 a.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.ย

BU is in search of its first win of the season after dropping its conference opener 11-8 to then-No. 5 TCU.ย

The Bears are looking to capitalize on a strong Jumping Seat showing three weeks ago. Senior Lauren Reid earned her third Most Outstanding Performer (one in Fences and two in Flat) nod of the season with a 90.50 point ride in Flat. Senior Lauren Jorgensen garnered her first MOP honor after a score of 87 against the Horned Frogs.ย

Baylor currently leads the all-time series over the Bulldogs, 20-9. The two last faced off in the 2024-25 season, where Fresno State narrowly earned the win, 11-9. In the meet, both Jorgensen and Reid earned points in Fences, while Reid earned BU's sole point in Flat. On the Western side, Sadie Peters and Riley Cachat garnered points for the Bears.ย

With the meet falling on Halloween, Baylor will celebrate with a Trot or Treat event and a Blackout. There will be free decorative candy bags, decorations for the barn and 2025-26 posters at the meet while supplies last.ย
