WACO, Texas – Fresh off claiming the tournament crown in Hawaii for the third time in program history, No. 15 Baylor women's golf will host The Bear Brawl on Tuesday at the Ridgewood Country Club in Waco.
Baylor cruised to the tournament title in the 29th annual Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Hawaii last week, posting a 10-shot victory that was highlighted by Yurang Li claiming the individual championships by seven strokes.
The Bears used a 12-under final round to blow by the field in the tournament in Hawaii, totaling a 850 total team score which ranked as the 18th best tournament team score in program history, leading BU to its first win since The PDI Invitational in 2024-25.
Li starred, shooting a school-record tying 65 on Wednesday to become the first Bear to win an individual title since Silje Ohma in 2025 at the two-round Waco River Classic. Her 65 marked the 18th time a Bear had shot a program-best 65 and the first since Ohma dropped a 65 in the season-opening Folds of Honor Collegiate. Her 204 total score marked the fifth-best tournament score for an individual in program annals.
Four other Bears had top-20 finishes in the Rainbow Wahine last week, including Ohma, who went 69-70-72 to place third with a 5-under total score. Malena Castro finished sixth with a 68-76-68, Charlotte Brook finished 17th with a 68-78-71 and Bridget Boczar finished 48th.
The Bear Brawl will conclude the fall schedule for the Bears, who will then open up the spring at the PDI Intercollegiate in Orland on Jan. 25-27.
