
WT Set to Open Big 12 Play at Cincinnati, West Virginia

The Bears have won four of their last five matches
WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's tennis team kicks off its Big 12 campaign on the road at Cincinnati on Friday before traveling to Morgantown, West Virginia, to face the Mountaineers on Sunday.
Friday's contest against the Bearcats begins at noon CT and a live stream as well as live stats are available for fans to follow along. Sunday's match at West Virginia is slated for 9 a.m. CT and live stats are available to follow the action.
ABOUT THE BEARS
Baylor (6-5) has won four of its last five matches and Friday's match marks the sixth road contest for the Bears this season. In the Bears' 3-1 showing at the Hurd Tennis Center last weekend, freshman Zuzanna Kubacha went 2-0 in three appearances, clinching the thrilling 4-3 win over Grand Canyon for BU. Newcomer Miska Kadleckova is an impressive 5-1 in singles this season while the tandem of Isabella Harvison and Liubov Kostenko have dropped just one doubles match, sitting at 3-1.

Cincinnati enters Friday's match with a 5-2 overall record and an impressive 5-1 mark at home. In their five wins, the Bearcats didn't give up a single point to their opponents. Cincinncati has dropped its last two contests to Miami (OH) and Xavier entering conference play. The Bearcats are led by Rozalia Gruszczynska and Sakurako Watanabe who have each posted a 5-2 record in singles action.

West Virginia will open Big 12 play against TCU before hosting the Bears on Sunday. The Mountaineers carry an 11-1 record and are 9-1 at home this spring. Winners of six-straight, West Virginia is led by Maja Dodik and Momoko Nagato who each have 10 singles win on the year. In doubles action, the duo of Dodik and Maya Bordereau lead the way with a 9-1 mark with a perfect 5-0 record at the No. 3 position.
