• Baylor Softball will host Incarnate Word for a midweek tilt Tuesday night at Getterman Stadium.
• BU and UIW have only met one time previously, with Baylor taking the win at home. The Bears will look to stay undefeated against the Cardinals.
• The Bears (17-13) are coming off of a three-game conference series with No. 1 Oklahoma. Baylor fell in all three contests, but pushed the top ranked team to seven innings in game-three narrowly missing the victory.
• After being run-ruled in games one and two, the Bears held the Sooners scoreless until the seventh inning, the first time that has happened to the Sooners since, 2019. With the 1-0 advantage and two outs a timely OU homer walked-off the game keeping the Sooners undefeated this season. The Bears did snap Oklahoma's 13-game run-rule streak.
• The Cardinals (10-20) are coming off of a conference series with Nicholls State where they won two and lost one on the weekend.
•The Bears are currently sitting at 37 in the NCAA RPI rankings, up from their spot at 44 last week. All seven Big 12 schools currently rank in the top 100 RPI rankings.
• McKenzie Wilson still ranks first in the Big 12 with five triples on the season. Wilson is also fourth in the nation in 0.20 triples per game. Her .443 season batting average still leads the Bears as well as her 20 RBI.
• With two outs, the Bears are hitting .316 this season providing key hits at the right moments to get wins. Head Coach Glenn Moore said this could be one of the best situational hitting teams he has ever had. Taylor Strain leads the charge in hits with two outs posting a .520 batting average when two outs are on the board.

• Three Bears are top eight in the Big 12 with batting average with three outs; Taylor Strain is 2nd (.478) and Emily Hott is 3rd (.467).

• McKenzie Wilson is 2nd in percentage reached as a leadoff batter with .706, while Josie Bower is batting 1.000 with the bases loaded.
• Josie Bower is leading the league in hit by pitches (8), while Taylor Strain leads in sacrifice bunts (7).
• McKenzie Wilson is fourth in batting average (.443), second in hits (39) and tied for first for stolen bases (13).
