Game called in the 71st minute for heat advisory

THE RUNDOWN
WACO, Texas – It was a hot one in Waco today, as the game was called off in the 71^st minute due to the heat advisory. Baylor and San Francisco end the game in a draw but the game should be counted as a full game and will go towards overall season records.

Baylor fell behind first tonight after a goal from San Francisco in the 27^th minute. The Dons were able to hold off the Bears in the first half but not without an effort as the Bears put up six shots. The San Francisco goalkeeper was able save shots from Ally Henderson-Ashkinos and Elizabeth Kooiman to keep the Bears scoreless.

The Bears came out in the second half with a renewed momentum and scored within the first four minutes. Taylor Moon, who started her second game this week after a three-game break, lined up a perfect pass to Mackenzie Anthony who found the bottom left of the goal to tie things up. This is Anthony's sixth goal this year, scoring in all but three of the Bears matches so far this season and for the third straight game.

Goalkeeper, Jennifer Wandt picked up two more saves and Kate Zimmerman played the most minutes off the bench (54). Also picking up shots today were Gabby Mueller, Taylor Moon, and Maddie Algya, who had two.

Just minutes after the second half water break the game had to be called for a heat advisory.
