Bears moved up two spots on leaderboard in final round

AUSTIN, Texas – Baylor men's golf moved up two spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for ninth place in the George Hannon Invitational. The Bears carded 5-over-par 289 in Tuesday's final round at UT Golf Club to finish the tournament at 25-over 877.
Baylor's final round of 5-over 289 was the sixth-best round of the day, moving the Bears up from 11th entering the day into a 3-way tie for ninth. BU (+25) finished tied with Kansas State (+25) and West Virginia (+25) and ahead of New Mexico State (+52) and UT Arlington (+74).
The Bears placed behind No. 12 Texas (-17), No. 2 Oklahoma (-9), No. 19 Texas Tech (-9), No. 11 Oklahoma State (-5), No. 27 New Mexico (+16), Florida Atlantic (+21), No. 50 Arkansas-Little Rock (+24) and No. 46 TCU (+24).
Johnny Keefer again had the Bears' best round of the day, carding 1-under 70 for the second-consecutive round. He finished tied for 16th place individually at 1-over-par 214. Ryan Grider and Cooper Dossey tied for 37th place at 7-over 220 after Grider shot a final-round 1-over 72 and Dossey carded 3-over 74. Mark Reppe had BU's final counting score at 2-over 73 to finish in 63rd place at 13-over 226.
Travis McInroe shot 9-over 80 and tied for 67th place at 17-over 230. Trey Bosco and Tyler Isenhart both competed as individuals, with Bosco finishing tied for 47th place at 9-over 222 after a final round of 4-over 75 and Isenhart tied for 65th at 16-over 229 with a final round of 3-over 74.
STAT OF THE DAY
1-under – Mark Reppe recovered to shoot 1-under over his final 16 holes after making a triple bogey on his second hole of the day. Reppe bounced back with consecutive birdies on his fourth and fifth holes, then got back to even-par with another birdie on his 10th hole. With another birdie on his 13th hole, Reppe tallied a team-high four birdies in the final round.
