Luke Dossey tied for fourth individually after second-straight 1-under 71

BRYAN, Texas – Baylor men's golf climbed three spots on the leaderboard and sits in fourth place after Saturday's second round at the Aggie Invitational. The Bears shot 1-under-par 287 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 9-over 585 at Traditions Golf Club.
No. 36 Baylor (+9) entered the day in a three-way tie for seventh place. The Bears now trail only No. 5 Texas (-1), No. 1 Oklahoma (+2) and No. 12 Texas A&M (+6). BU leads No. 25 Texas Tech (+10), No. 30 Louisville (+10), No. 46 Houston (+22), North Texas (+22), Nebraska (+23), Kansas (+25), No. 33 UTSA (+27), Rice (+34), UNLV (+35), Lamar (+44), New Mexico State (+46), Northern Illinois (+50) and Prairie View A&M (+90).
Baylor was 5-over at the turn in Saturday's second round, but the Bears combined for 11 birdies and only four bogeys on the back-9. Cooper Dossey and Ryan Grider made four birdies apiece coming in, while Travis McInroe, Tyler Isenhart and Luke Dossey each made eight pars and one birdie on the back-9.
Luke Dossey and Cooper Dossey tied for the Bears' best round of the day at 1-under 71. It was the second-straight 71 for Luke, who moved into a tie for fourth place in the 96-player field at 2-under 142. Cooper moved into a tie for 16th place at 3-over 147. Grider carded even-par 72 to move into a tie for 43rd place at 7-over 151, and Isenhart posted BU's final counting score at 1-over 73 to move into a tie for 34th place at 5-over 149. McInroe posted his second-straight 3-over 75 and is tied for 41st place at 6-over 150.
The Dossey brothers were among only seven golfers in the 96-player field to shoot below-par in Saturday's second round. This is the first time they've played together in a collegiate lineup. Luke shot 3-under over his final 13 holes to get back below par after starting 2-over through five, while Cooper made three birdies on his final four holes to turn 2-over through 14 into 1-under.

28 – Luke Dossey has made pars on 28 of 36 holes, which is tied for second-most in the field. He's made five birdies, he's tied for the tournament lead in par-3 scoring at 2-under 2.75 and tied for fourth in the field in par-4 scoring at even-par 4.00.
