WACO, Texas - No. 2 Baylor equestrian (6-2, 1-1 Big 12) resumes action for the 2016-17 season, trekking north for a unique, split-schedule meet vs. No. 9 TCU this Thursday, Jan. 26.
The two sides will compete in the hunt seat events at 11 a.m. at TCU's Turning Point Ranch in Springtown, Texas.
Taking advantage of the exposure of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, the teams will showcase the sport to the PRCA Rodeo crowd at 6 p.m. in the John Justin Arena in Fort Worth.
Baylor closed the fall schedule with a home meet against the Horned Frogs, taking a 9-7 win on Nov. 12 in Waco.
The Bears look to build towards two championship opportunities, with Baylor and Waco hosting both the Big 12 Championship (March 24-25) at the Willis Family Equestrian Center and the annual NCEA National Championship (April 12-15) at the Extraco Events Center.
