April 11, 2016 WACO, Texas -- Baylor baseball will offer several summer camp options from June 12 through August 14 as players look to improve their game by working with the Bears' coaching staff.
The first camp of the summer is the Elite Prospect Showcase Camp No. 1 on June 12-13 for players in grades 9-12 and in junior college. Designed with the advanced player in mind, thecamp is for players with intentions of playing college baseball. The camp will place an emphasis on players improving their skills while working with experienced college coaches at the camp. The Elite Prospect Showcase Camp No. 2 will be from August 13-14.
From June 27-30, the All-Star Youth Skills Camp No. 1 will be for players ages 6-12. Instruction will cover the fundamentals of infield play, throwing, base running, outfield play, hitting and pitching. In addition to skill and drill stations, the campers will also have the opportunity to play games, which will emphasize the skills taught earlier in camp. The All-Star Youth Skills Camp No. 2 will be from July 18-21.
The All-Star Youth Games Camp No. 1 will take place July 11-14 for players ages 6-12. The camp is popular for those looking to learn by continuous play. Campers could play as many as four or five games per day. This fun environment provides opportunities to improve game speed skills and practice game situations. Teams will be changed daily and from morning to afternoon. Coaches will allow campers to team with a maximum number of friends as well. The All-Star Youth Games Camp No. 2 will be from July 25-28.
From July 29-31, the Father/Son Overnight Baseball Camp will take place for players ages 7-13. The camp will provide an experience to what life of a baseball player at Baylor would be like. Campers will be divided into teams according to age. Instruction will cover the fundamentals of infield play, throwing, base running, outfield play, hitting, pitching, and conditioning. In addition to skill and drill stations, the campers will also have the opportunity to play games which will emphasize the skills taught earlier in camp.
The Youth Overnight College Experience Camp is on July 31 through August 2 for players ages 9-13. The camp will provide an experience to what life of a baseball player at Baylor would be like.
