THE RUNDOWN
QUERENCIA, Mexico ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Baylor men's golf finished in third place after shooting 1-under-par 283 in Tuesday's final round at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate at the Los Cabos Querencia Golf Course. The Bears finished at 5-under-par 847 over three rounds, ahead of nine teams ranked above No. 34 BU in the latest GolfStat rankings.
Georgia (-18) won the tournament and led the field by 10 strokes, with South Florida (-8) finishing second. Baylor (-5) was followed by California (-3) and Stanford (-3) in a tie for fourth place. Vanderbilt (-1) took sixth place, followed by Florida State (+16), Mississippi (+19), Arkansas (+20) and Washington (+21) and LSU (+21) tied for 10th place. Houston (+28) and Oregon State (+28) tied for 12th place, Wake Forest (+33) took 14th and Rice (+42) finished in 15th place.
Freshman Braden Bailey climbed 18 spots to finish with a career-best seventh-place finish after carding a final-round score of 5-under-par 66 and a three-round total of 4-under-par 209. Bailey recorded six birdies to one bogey in his final round.
Frederik Andersen shot 2-over 73 on the day and 1-over 214 through three rounds, placing him in a tie for 14th place. Matthew Perrine finished in a tie for 18th after shooting 1-over 72 in his final round and recording a three-round score of 2-over-par 215. Hunter Shattuck carded a 4-over 75 third round score and tied for 24th place with a final score of 3-over 216. Andreas Gjesteby shot 1-over 72 on the day and finished in a tie for 41st place at 7-over 220.

- Baylor finished in front of nine teams with higher rankings than the Bears' No. 34: No. 14 California, No. 7 Stanford, No. 15 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Florida State, No. 28 Arkansas, No. 29 Washington, No. 18 LSU, No. 31 Houston and No. 2 Wake Forest. - Baylor lead the tournament with 58 birdies across three rounds. - Baylor finished second in par-4 scoring at 6-over 4.04. - The Bears tied for third in par-5 scoring at 5-under 4.89. - Baylor tied for fourth in par-5 scoring at 8-over 3.13. - Braden Bailey tied for third in par-5 scoring at 5-under 4.44 - Frederik Andersen tied for seventh in par-4 scoring at 2-under 3.94. - Bailey led the field with 16 birdies over 54 holes. - Matthew Perrine made 38 pars, placing him in a tie for sixth in pars-recorded. - Hunter Shattuck tied for fourth in birdies recorded with 13 through three rounds.
