THE RUNDOWN
OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. â '¬" Baylor men's golf is in ninth place at 22-over-par 582 after Saturday's second round of play at the Fighting Illini Invitational. The Bears shot 15-over-par 295 on the day, placing them nine strokes back of the top five entering Sunday's final round at Olympia Fields Country Club.
Senior Andreas Gjesteby improved to a tie for ninth individually after shooting 1-over 141. Freshman Braden Bailey is tied for 15th place at 3-over 143 following his 3-over 73, while fellow freshman Garrett May is at 10-over 150 after two rounds and in a tie for 53rd place following Saturday's 77. Hunter Shattuck and Frederik Andersen are tied for 58th place at 11-over 151, with Andersen shooting 74 and Shattuck carding a 77 in the second round.
Stanford (+5) leads the tournament by two strokes. Oklahoma State (+7) and Florida State (+7) are tied for second, followed by Illinois (+10) in fourth. Arizona State (+13) is fifth, followed by Texas A&M (+16) in sixth and Texas (+20) and Alabama (+20) tied for seventh, with Baylor (+22) in ninth place.
Baylor begins Sunday's final round from the 10th tee at 7:30 a.m. CT. Shattuck will be first off the tee, and he'll be followed in nine-minute intervals by Andersen, May, Bailey and Gjesteby, respectively.

• Bailey leads the team and is tied for fourth in par-4 scoring at even-par 4.00.
• Andreas Gjesteby is tied for 10th in par-5 scoring at 1-under 4.75 and tied for eighth in par-4 scoring at 2-over 4.08.
• Frederik Andersen is tied for fourth in par-3 scoring at 1-under 2.88, while Gjesteby is tied for 16th at even-par 3.00.
