WACO, Texas - Due to inclement weather, Baylor's series opener against Kansas State has been suspended in the seventh inning with BU ahead 3-1. The teams will resume play tomorrow at 3 p.m. CT and start the second game of the series approximately 45 minutes after the first game is complete.

The Bears received a two-run double in the fourth inning by Matt Menard to take a 2-0 lead, and made it a 3-0 edge with an RBI single by Adam Toth in the fifth. The Wildcats scored their run on a two-out double by Steve Serratore in the sixth.

The delay went into effect at 8:25 p.m. due to lightning, and rain washed away any hope of resuming play. Kansas State had its first two runners on in the seventh before play was suspended.
