STILLWATER, Okla.
- Baylor (15-24, 5-10) dropped a 7-1 decision at No. 17 Oklahoma State (26-13, 10-5) Monday afternoon in the rubber match of a prolonged weekend series. The Cowboys used runs in five of the first six innings to claim a series victory.

The game started with a Gage Green solo home run to lead off the OSU first inning. The Cowboys then added two runs on three hits and a walk in the third to create separation.

After a pitching change from BU starter Nick Lewis to reliever Troy Montemayor, OSU added another run in the fourth on a bases-loaded walk. In the fifth the Cowboys scratched a run off reliever Sean Spicer on three hits, and Corey Hassel and Ryan Sluder added solo homers in the sixth.

The Bears got their run in the ninth on a bases-loaded fielder's choice grounder by Jonathan Ducoff.

OSU starter Tyler Nurdin (2-2) earned the win after giving up one run on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in 8.1 innings. Lewis (1-2) took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in three innings.

*Baylor narrowly trails the all-time series against Oklahoma State 38-41 overall, 15-19 in Stillwater and leads 32-29 under Steve Smith. BU has won 15 of the last 24 meetings, including taking two of three from No. 20 OSU last year in Waco on March 21-23, 2014.
