Final Stats

THE RUNDOWN
LUBBOCK, Texas
- Baylor (13-21, 4-6) dropped the second game of the series, 3-2, to No. 23 Texas Tech (21-14, 6-5) in 12 innings Saturday afternoon at Rip Griffin Park. TTU's Orlando Garcia hit a walk-off homer to give the Red Raiders the series win.

Baylor responded to yesterday's tough loss well by grabbing a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. Logan Brown led off with a walk and Hayden Ross singled. After a Mitch Price walk loaded the bases, Aaron Dodson hit an RBI infield single and Joe Sabatini drove the second run in on a sacrifice fly.

The lead only lasted one inning, though, as TTU's Quinn Carpenter hit a two-run homer in the second. The teams then exchanged several failed scoring chances until TTU's 12th inning as Garcia hit the homer with one out off the left field foul pole.

Red Raiders reliever Dominic Moreno (2-3) earned the win with 0.2 perfect frames and two strikeouts. BU reliever Troy Montemayor (0-3) took the loss despite 3.1 innings of solid relief as he gave up just the homer and two walks with three strikeouts.
