WACO, Texas- Baylor (6-8) continues its 11-game venture away from home as the Bears travel to No. 20 Dallas Baptist (10-2) for a 6:30 p.m. CT game Tuesday.
Baylor leads the all-time series against the Patriots 46-24, 10-7 in Dallas and 17-10 under Steve Smith but have dropped two straight in the series after winning six straight. The teams already met earlier this season on Feb. 17 in Waco and DBU won 9-6. BU enters the game after an 0-3 weekend in the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park with losses to Hawaii, No. 2 LSU and No. 22 Texas A&M. DBU heads into the game after a four-game weekend sweep at Oral Roberts.

Baylor leads the all-time series vs. Dallas Baptist 46-24, 34-17 in Waco, 10-7 in Dallas and 17-10 under Steve Smith. The Bears had won six straight games in the series before DBU took the series opener April 11, 2014, to win a split series with two games in Waco 2-1 last season, and then the Patriots won a 9-6 decision this season in Waco on Feb. 17.

Baylor is made its ninth appearance in the Houston College Classic put on by the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park over the weekend. The Bears went 0-3 with losses to Hawaii (2-1), No. 2 LSU (2-0) and No. 22 Texas A&M (3-2) and are now 13-14 all-time in the tournament, including a 3-0 record in their 2005 College World Series season. In BU's last appearance in 2013, it opened with a 9-0 win over California on March 1, 2013. After falling 15-4 in seven innings to Houston on March 2, 2013, the Bears rebounded for a big, 9-2 win over No. 13 Rice on March 3, 2013.
Daniel Castano NAMED TO HOUSTON COLLEGE CLASSIC ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Sophomore left-handed starter Daniel Castano was named to the Houston College Classic all-tournament team after tying a career high and setting a season high with eight innings pitched against No. 2 LSU as he allowed one run on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts in a loss.
