Nov. 5, 2015 WACO, Texas ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Baylor baseball will host its first Green-Gold World Series of the Steve Rodriguez era over the next two weeks. The best of five intrasquad series will take place at Baylor Ballpark and is free and open to the public.
The series starts Friday at 5 p.m. CT. Game two will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. The series will resume next weekend with a Nov. 13 game three at 5 p.m. and Nov. 15 game four at 3 p.m. The finale is slated for Nov. 17 at 3:30 p.m.
Both teams will feature a pair of player/managers. Team Gold will be headed by Kody Hessemer and Matt Menard, while Team Green will be managed by Drew Tolson and Cameron Miller. Friday's pitching matchup will feature Tolson vs. Joe Heineman. Saturday's hurlers will have Team Green's Daniel Castano against Team Gold's pitcher that has yet to be announced.
