WACO, Texas -- The first recruiting class of the Steve Rodriguez era of Baylor baseball features 15 stellar players ready to make an impact in the 2017 season.

"We are very excited about this recruiting class," said Rodriguez. "We feel we have fulfilled many of our needs for the next year with regards to the pitching staff and our position players. This is a very talented group that should contribute right away. Our staff has been very active on the recruiting trail, and we feel this is a very good start to the future of Baylor baseball."

The class features 11 players from Texas, three from California and one from Florida. Position-wise, eight are pitchers (six right-handed, two left-handed), three are infielders, two are outfielders and two are catchers. Bios for each signee are below.
