WACO, Texas - Three months following Baylor's Women's College World Series run, the Bears have returned to the field for preparation for the 2015 season. The Lady Bears will play host to its annual "Meet the Team" event Saturday, for fans to get to know the new faces for the coming season.

Saturday at 8:45 a.m. at Getterman Stadium, Baylor will take batting practice and in-and-out before introducing themselves at 9:50 a.m. to spectators. Then, at 10 a.m. the team will have a Green vs. Gold intrasquad scrimmage, followed by a luncheon at the indoor hitting facility adjacent to Getterman Stadium. Fans interested in eating with the team need to RSVP with Jaqui Haddock by calling 254-710-4659, and boxed lunches will cost $10 apiece.

The Lady Bears went 49-16 last season, reaching the WCWS semi-finals highlighted by the largest comeback win in WCWS history, defeating Kentucky 8-7 May 31 after trailing by seven runs. Baylor returns 10 lettermen from the 2014 team, and the Lady Bears will have seven freshmen and a redshirt to make up the 18-person roster.

Baylor returned to official off-season practices Monday, and along with regular practices and intrasquad scrimmages, the Lady Bears will play seven games against other schools. Sept. 24 Baylor plays Temple Community College in Waco.

Oct. 4, Baylor will play two intrasquad games at Klein High School in Houston, and will face Blinn College in The Woodlands, Texas Oct. 5. Oct. 10 and Oct. 17 Baylor will play McLennan Community College at 4 p.m.at Baylor, and the Bears will close fall season scrimmages Oct. 18 vs. Northwestern State with a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m.
