Bayou City Day Two Results and Statistics 
THE RUNDOWN
HUMBLE, TEXAS - The Baylor men's golf team is fifth place after the second day of play at the Bayou City Championship. The Bears shot 2-under-par 286 in Saturday's second round to place them at 2-under 574 headed into Sunday's final round.
Baylor finished the day 17 strokes behind tournament-host Houston (-19) in first place, while Texas remained in second place at 10-under par. Baylor is within three strokes of third place South Carolina (-5), and BU is only one stroke behind fourth place Arkansas (-3).
Two Baylor players are in the top-20 individually headed into Sunday's final round. Jerry Ruiz shot 2-under-par on Saturday (72-70=142) to move up 10 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 13th place. Niclas Mansson is one stroke back at 1-under-par (72-71=143) in a tie for 19th place.
Kyle Jones (E) moved up 17 places on the leader board into a tie for 27th place after a second round two-under 70. Andreas Gjesteby is 3-over for the tournament and tied for 31st place, and Charles Neel White, who is competing as an individual, finished the day in 79th place at 10-over-par. Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen shot 9-over in the second round to put him in 87th place for the tournament.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Mansson had no bogeys on the round. He had 17 pars and one birdie. He has made the second-most pars for the tournament with 29 pars through 36 holes.
• Jones and Ruiz have both made 26 pars, fifth-most made by any player in the field.
• Mansson leads the field in par-4 scoring averaging 3.85 with a combined score of 3-under-par.
• Gjesteby is in second place in par-4 scoring at 2-over, averaging 3.90.
• Mansson and Gjesteby both birdied hole 17, representing two of the eight birdies made by the field on that hole in the second round.

Sunday's final round will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT., and Baylor is paired with Arkansas and Louisiana Tech. Ruiz will start on hole No. 4, while Mansson, Gjesteby, Jones and Bjerch-Andresen will start in groups 5, 6A, 6B and 7, respectively. White will begin the round in group 18B.
